StockPalette (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Shopify application developed by Theme-X (theme-x.org). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use StockPalette in your Shopify store.

By installing StockPalette, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Store Data (via Shopify API)

When you install StockPalette, we access the following data from your Shopify store to provide our service:

• Products — product titles, SKUs, tags, prices, and images (to display in the command palette search)
• Inventory levels — current stock quantities per location (to display and update stock)
• Shop information — your store domain and basic store details (for authentication)

Authentication Data

We store an OAuth access token issued by Shopify to authenticate API requests on your behalf. This token is stored securely in our database and is never shared with third parties.

Usage Data

We do not collect analytics, track individual user behavior, or use any third-party tracking or advertising tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely to provide the StockPalette service:

• Display your products in the command palette search
• Show current inventory levels for each product
• Update inventory quantities when you save changes through the app
• Authenticate your session with Shopify

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

4. Data Storage & Security

StockPalette stores minimal data — only your Shopify OAuth session token, which is required to make authenticated API calls. This data is stored in a secured database on our server and is protected using industry-standard security practices.

Product data and inventory levels are fetched in real time from the Shopify API and are not cached or permanently stored by our application.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Your store data is used exclusively to operate StockPalette and is never disclosed to outside organizations.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

When you uninstall StockPalette from your Shopify store, we automatically delete your session token and any associated store data from our systems within 48 hours.

7. Shopify's Role

StockPalette is built on the Shopify platform. Shopify processes your store data under their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review Shopify's policy to understand how Shopify handles your information.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the data we hold about your store
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Uninstall the app at any time to stop all data processing
